ATT handles this wonderfully though in that you get white ghost hands that appear so you can still see where your physical hands are as your digital hands try to catch up. Especially in VR where the physics will cause your digital hand to be in a different position than your physical hands. When you add physics to games, things always get weird somewhere. That being said in Part 2 I pick up a random blue giant X pattern axe that I could never hope to have made my first day. I'm a selfish, only child who never learned to share. This could be a pro or a con depending on your outlook. Other than that, everything you do is communal. Most of these things are just related to the game being early in development. This is on the roadmap however so I'm excited to see what we get.Īgain, pre-alpha, set expectations accordingly. Once you get to end game though, you may be wandering around aimlessly until Alta adds some end game content. At lower level your primary goal is to stay alive and get stronger. Goals, right now seem like they're a bit lacking however as a sandbox you're supposed to make your own goals. This becomes much more evident in part 2 when we get to the main server. I would occasionally see player bodies freeze for several seconds before resuming animation. Watching other players stutter slide around the world really highlights the issue. There is a significant amount of server lag when traversing the world. Not necessarily hand holding through the game but there should be some in the first hour or so to teach the player the laws of the universe so to speak. Building fires or learning which tools are useful for what tasks should have a bit more guidance. I spent way to long trying to figure out how to learn to chop trees. There needs to be a bit more explanation in the tutorials for starters. There are definitely some problems with the game. A Township Tale is a deep and wonderful bug filled mess! It has all the expected issues of a pre-alpha title and all the wonder of an exciting and interesting new world to explore!
